The “bullies” are the Turks that attack Israel

Turkey ousts the ambassador from Israel, it states that it will take the country to the Hague court and that it will escort the next ships bound to Gaza against the “bully” of the Mediterranean. Turkey has some supporters: Hamas and the Islamic jihad have publicly voiced their support and that the Palmer report – the 150 pages drafted by the UN commission to judge the responsibilities in the Flotilla clashes on May 31 2010 - is the result of a Sionist plot. Actually Turkey is staging an ideological charade using the charges against Israel to strengthen its new political approach to power.

With the established hatred against Israel, Erdogan is strengthening its Islamic face and the relationship with Iran, with which he has many treaties and which he protected from the sanctions. Erdogan has been at the helm of his country since 2003 and he wants to show that his country has changed its course and which is the proud heir of the Ottoman empire after being the only Islamic nation not to be confessional and allied with the West. Erdogan made waves with his fierce attack against Shimon Peres in 2009 during a debate in Davos. Hatred and contempt have been voiced with any possible pitch. But the Palmer report asking Israel to express its regret and to provide indemnity takes into consideration the Israeli positions, because it recognizes that the naval block for Gaza is legal, that in Gaza there is no humanitarian crisis where aid could have been delivered in another way. But it accuses Israel of a disproportionate response.

Turkey could have accepted “ indemnity and regret” that Israel was willing to provide. Instead it has asked for impossible apologies. Turkey allowed Ihh to leave , Erdogan is not even asked to express his regret, and he responds to this favour, by putting Israel in a pillory. So does everybody else in the world of extremism.
