That's why the Caliphate is afraid to hit Israel

Il Giornale, 31 December 2015Isis is not invulnerable. Such a statement is all but obvious for the West, which is terrified by a cruelty that seems almost impossible. Now there are two new events bearing witness to that. The first is the recapture of Ramadi by the Iraqi forces. Only the Kurdish Peshmerga had been able to beat Daesh. Eventually, after a dreadful year, now also the Sunni troops of the region have succeeded to hunt Al Baghdadi’s men down, although with the strong help of the US air force. The value of this victory is hard to tell: withdrawing does not mean to be eliminated, but we will see in the near future.
Secondly, after ten days spent behind Isis lines, a daring journalist and former German parliamentarian, Jurgen Todenhofer, makes us know that the Islamic State has a real fear, namely the Israeli army: "They recognize it is too strong for them."
Todenhofer says that Isis, as many analysts have already emphasized, aims to take the conflict with the United States, United Kingdom and France to its territory, where it's sure to defeat them. However, Isis is aware that the Israelis know every secret and have an extensive experience of the terrain along with very advanced techniques, aircrafts capable of striking their positions and men, determination and capabilities. "Daesh is not afraid of the British or the Americans, but is afraid of the Israelis: they told me that the Israeli army is the real danger, because it knows how to fight a guerrilla war."
Isis had refrained from getting involved in the Israeli-Palestinian question, even ignoring the false accusation about the Al Aqsa Mosque. Nevertheless, on December 26, the Caliph Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi launched his war cry: "God has brought together the Jews from all over the world in Israel, this helps us. Every Muslim has the duty of Jihad. Jews, you will not enjoy Palestine... it will be your cemetery."
It is likely that such a call was prompted by the criticism for ignoring the Palestinians, who have been engaged in terrorist attacks against Israeli citizens for 100 days. The attacks have created a fertile ground for religious fanaticism that Abu Mazen himself has thoughtlessly contributed to fuel. Indeed, the President of the Palestinian Authority called for the defense of the Mosque, which is not threatened at all. ISIS would surely be more than keen to wipe out Abu Mazen. In addition, the anti-Semitic flag plays the main propaganda rolefor any estremist cause.
In Sinai, Al Baghdadi trusts that large groups like Ansar Bait Al Maqdis have sworn allegiance to Isis, and that his acolytes grow in number despite the Egyptian reaction: his strength was demonstrated by the attack to the Russian aircraft on October 13. In Gaza, the Salafist faction has been competing with Hamas for many years now. In the north in Israel, an operational cell has recently been discovered in the district of Nazareth: it was engaged in facilitating connections with Syria and preparing attacks inside the Jewish state. The Golan is home to several armed factions.
Are they enough to worry the government of Jerusalem? Israel is cautious. The former air force general Amos Yadlin says that Isis is not a military threat, while Hezbollah with its missiles and the support of Iran is an immediate danger. One thing is sure : the fear of Isis is about a country that believes in its right to exist and strongly defends the values of democracy.

Dear Fiamma Israel while being under siege ont he part of 70 bloodthirsty wolves with hostile 5th Column feeding them on hatred diet remains devoted to democratic values as you rightly noticed that Today in my city and in other places in Israel Christian Community celebrates Orthodox Christmass and New Year- freely , happily and without fear of provocations or repressions !Their parade started just next to my synagogue close to the City Hall I got out afer the prayer and Havdala and approached their congregants many of whom I know in person and congratulated them with 3 short words: GOD BHLESS YOU! Israel is the only place in the Middle East where Christians are not persecuted , humiliated or murdered This time unlike previous years they had their parade only when Sabath ended Love thy neigbour as thyselfPeter Rotberg Israel
