Obama Gets Tough With Jihadists: “You Are a Cancer to Be Eradicated”

The American journalist Steven Joel Sotloff could be, and let us really hope that some miracle will help him, the next in line to quench ISIS bloodthirst. The Islamist executioner holds him by his neck and, with a British accent, says to the camera: “Obama, the life of this American citizen depends on your next decision,” and he had just beheaded another American journalist, James Foley. The video footage, which ruthlessly shows everything, is crafted in the terrorist style purposely to frighten us to the deepest fiber of our being before the vampirism of the Sunni organization, whose goal has been proclaimed once again.

Indeed, the executioner is speaking in order to create a connection between the atrocious necessity of the beheading and ISIS objective: wielding his butcher knife, the terrorist with a strong British accent explains that the necessary and legal purpose is to establish an Islamic State, the Caliphate, just as Muhammad did in the half of the seventh century. The Americans, argues the executioner, are hindering this holy, blood-soaked walk, and, according to his statements, is Obama who must be held accountable for their troubles on the path to a worldwide Caliphate. The obvious reason lies with his support for the Iraqi government and for the Kurds, through his about 90 bombings since August 8, the airstrikes in Erbil, and the rescue of Yazidis. Hence, Foley must die in the name of all the American people, the same old damned imperialists, although Obama invested the most he could in his role as a dove, and Sotloff will be the next one if the US President does not draw back.

The world’s reaction equals the outrage. ISIS used that gruesome language just to address us, and it did succeed: we saw ISIS killing, beheading, crucifying Muslim enemies and local Christians. Now it is directly threatening us, and Foley’s heinous beheading is causing the effect of horror and shock that its actions should have reawakened a long time ago.

France and Germany expressed their dismay, Chancellor Angela Merkel said to be “horrified,” and her spokesman, Steffen Seibert, added that this terrorist group “has nothing else to offer but cruelty and zealotry.” The French President Hollande is calling for an international conference to decide how to stop ISIS. David Cameron, being the British government particularly involved due to the executioner’s British accent, returned from his holidays on purpose: the American and British secret services are working together in order to identify him.

In the footage, Foley looks like petrified, his beautiful face is wan, fixed. Swallowing several times, he repeats the sentences probably imposed by his torturers, uttering the words which have been unleashed against us for decades by an accusatory ideology that puts the West in the dock, even when its enemies’ brutality, inhumanity, and ineptitude is totally apparent. Foley seems to be forced to say: “I call on my friends, family, and loved ones to rise up against my real killers, the US government. For what will happen to me is only a result of their complicity and criminality.” He asks his parents “not to accept any meagre compensation for my death from that same people who effectively hit the last nail in my coffin with the recent campaign in Iraq.”

Foley’s mother, Diane, has been brave enough amid her enormous grief not to accept any provocation. She said to be proud of her “extraordinary son,” who died “trying to show the suffering of the Syrian people to the world,” and asked the terrorists to spare the life of the other innocent hostages.

James Foley had already survived a dreadful professional adventure in 2012 when, on behalf of France Press and Global Post media company, was kidnapped in Northern Syria. Nonetheless, his hunger for news had not exhausted.
