There is no explanation and no excuse for what Kerry said about the link between the Israeli-Palestinian conflict - rather, its causality - and the hideous, cruel turning point of Islamism marked by ISIS’ beheadings. Even a dullard would understand it: the connection, if there was ever one, is to be found in the prevalent Islamist aspiration to wipe out Israel too, which is considered a Western country and, for that reason, an infidel one, and in the plan of an all-embracing and almighty Islamic State. In case, Kerry should have asked the Palestinians to for sake their imperialistic dreams of supremacy.But Kerry never understood a thing about Islam or the Middle East: he thought, together with Obama, that the Muslim Brotherhood was a moderate organization to be supported. He also thought, as the President did, that appeasing the Muslim world was the key for peace and progress, while tribal and inter-religious clashes were making increasingly more victims, killing hundreds of thousands of people. He glossed over the horrors committed by Assad and his opponents, only to then form a fragile international coalition.
His continuous blaming Israel is a gift he gives to those assassins, as well as a connecting link to the anti-Semitic tradition of blaming the Jews. Now we can only expect to see them being accused of spreading Ebola, as it happened in the Middle Ages with the black plague. Kerry really made all the anti-Semitic, anti-Israeli worldwide happy. To counter Kerry’s guilty asininity, there is the brilliant connection made by Angelo Panebianco on the Corriere della Sera between the false progressivism and the weird “distraction” of those who take to the streets against Israel and find themselves shouting “Death to Jews”. It has actually happened everywhere in Europe, and that distraction seems to be typical of Kerry too.
