Mayor Lupolianski: the future of Jerusalem means more development

Over 40 mayors of capital cities and metropolitan centers who are here attending the 25^th Jerusalem Conference of Mayors discussed the future of Jerusalem.

The mayors heard MK Benjamin Netanyahu, leader of Israel’s parliamentary opposition, who said “Freedom of worship of the three monotheistic religions in Jerusalem, would continue only under Israeli sovereignty.”

Jerusalem Mayor Uri Lupolianski stated that 2000 housing units are currently in the process of construction, and thousands of apartments are undergoing planning. “When the capital city of Israel is brought to the operating table and there’s a suggestion to remove the heart of the city, I act and not only talk.”

Jack Rosen, Chairman of the AJCongress-Council for World Jewry, remarked that “Netanyahu’s statement is significant to the mayors who belong to the different religions, because it entails reconfirmation of freedom of religion in this unique multi-cultural city.”

The conference is hosted by Mayor Lupolianski and sponsored by the American Jewish Congress-Council for World Jewry, in association with Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.

spesso e specialmente su LA SETTEcompare una giornalista che si dichiara israeliana e araba la quale si scaglia contro Israele in ogni modo. Sembra augurarsi che le profezie di Ahmadinejad si debbano verificare. Mi meraviglia che il governo di Israele nonle tolga almeno la cittadinanza
