Fiamma Nirenstein, Former Italian Parliament Member, Joins the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs as Senior Researcher

 

Fiamma Nirenstein, newly appointed Senior researcher at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, is a well-known Italian parliamentarian, columnist and author of 12 books. Ms. Nirenstein is the former deputy chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Italian parliament. She established and chaired the Italian Parliamentary Committee for the Inquiry into Anti-Semitism. Ms. Nirenstein will be involved in research and strategic policy regarding Israel-Europe relations.

Ms. Nirenstein will work to advance cooperation between Israeli and European opinion makers and promote greater understanding of Israel's positions among various European sectors.

Chaya Herskovic, Director of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, welcomed the participation of Ms. Nirenstein as part of the Jerusalem Center research team and noted that the advancement of projects of cooperation with Europeans will prove to be a strategic asset for Israel.
